Women in Trades
National Skills Week 2018 Queensland Launch: Danielle Duncan, Learning Strategist, Business Mentor & Coach and Founder and Creative Director for You and Bamboo
More and more women are getting involved in careers, particularly trades, that until recently were undertaken only by men. Skills shortages, advances in machine technology and a shift in attitude are just some of the factors that have led to the acceptance and encouragement of women taking part in traditionally ‘male’ trades. Some key industries that now persuade women to get involved are Automotive, Building & Construction, IT, Manufacturing, Engineering, Mining and Rural & Farming.
