Fitness: An Olympic Career

Learn about the rewarding work of personal trainers and fitness instructors. Olympian and Fitness Instructor, Jodi Winter is a star who makes keeping fit fun and puts a smile on your sweaty dial!

Jodi has been to two Olympic games - Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 - for the Women's Rowing Eight. After Athens, left wondering what 'to do' with her life, Jodi decided to take the logical option, put her skills and passions to use and take up personal training. She says that the great results and positive feedback from clients inspired and drove her to open up her own training studio - ‘Fitness Avenue’.

Always a champion sports woman, at school she excelled at everything from rowing to netball. “I have trained all my life and know what a difference it makes to be fit and healthy. It seemed that Personal Training was the only path for me. It’s an opportunity for me to pass over experience and knowledge and to transfer my crazy amounts of energy by motivating and challenging you," says passionate Jodi.
