Carmel Dever owns Carma Health, a corporate massage program. She goes to workplaces and provides massage therapy for the staff.

Carmel shares what's involved in her work, how she got started and shows us just what she does - and why she's always greeted with a smile.

About Carmel:

Carmel began her interest in massage in 1996 when her house burnt down and her young son received serious burns to his body. To give the best care for him, Carmel started learning about healing and massage at the Nature Care College.

Over the past 25 years she has trained in a number of health therapies, and now offers a full range of services which she brings to her Corporate Massage Business.

Carmel is an Accredited: Remedial Massage Therapist; Reiki Master Teacher; Reflexology Practitioner. She has trained in: meditation practice, instructive healing and readings, Neuro-Linguistic Programming, Kinesiology, and is a creative dance and movement teacher.

Other skills include: Thought Field Therapy Practitioner; Re-connective Therapy Practitioner, And completed Certificate IV in Work Place Training and assessment (a requirement for businesses offering corporate massage therapies).

Massage therapists are required to continue to do multiple hours of accredited training to refresh their skills, as well as joining professional associations, and attending seminars and workshops to continue training.

Carmel loves being able to help people, she feels privileged to offer this to people who are stressed and physically tired, and ultimately very grateful for the service she offers.

About Carma Enterprises:

Carma Enterprises has specialised in corporate massage for over 10 years. A professional massage practitioner will visit the workplace offering full body massage on a table, or seated massage, and deals with effects of stress and repetitive injuries such as tendinitis and carpal tunnel syndrome. All treatments are given by fully qualified and accredited therapists and comply with Australian health and safety standards. We also offer training and workshops for massage, meditation, reflexology and reiki. Carma Enterprises has been relieving stress and anxiety in the corporate sector for over ten years.

About Massage:

Massage courses are run at Nature Care College and TAFE, and massage therapists traditionally operate their own business, or can be employed through beauty salons and health co-operations as an independent health service.
