Strange Jobs 2

Here is an insight into some strange, though skilful, trades!

David Parker and his wife own Cottesbrook Honey, near Bathurst, and they earn a living keeping bees. Dave tells us how bees don't like dark colours, grease and oil, nor funny smells like deodorant or sheep/horses!

Next we observe the work of stonemasons, like Grant Skinner and Helmut Mutschall, who are dedicated to making and carving beautiful headstones for families who have lost their loved ones.

Then we watch Colin Smith, Head Farrier Teacher at Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE, and his apprentice Jamie Kermond, putting 'shoes' on horses! Shoes are necessary to keep horses hoofs healthy and protected.
