Gavin Jackson – Syngenta Australasia, Head of Vegetables

Syngenta is a multi-national company focusing on agriculture, working within the regions of plant genetics as well as crop protection products.

The company spends approximately $1billion a year on research and development, focusing on new genetics and products to control pests and diseases.

Gavin discusses the fundamental problems faced by farmers all over the world, regardless of crops such as obtaining adequate moisture as well as weed and pest control.
