The Hilton Concierge

The Hilton Hotel Sydney belongs to the international chain of hotels that were founded by Conrad Hilton in 1919. The Sydney Hilton has 577 hotel rooms and suites and also boasts the largest hotel convention and meeting space in Australia, which can cater for up to 1,200 delegates.

The Guest Services team includes the Concierge and Bath Master position -  Sam Slattery provides both services for the hotel.

Sam entered the hospitality industry by working at his family cafes around Sydney from the age of 15. After finishing school in 1999, Sam did a Diploma in Hospitality Management majoring in business. While studying he worked as a barman at the Forest Lodge Hotel, later moving to the Wentworth Hotel to work in the lobby bar and as a porter. After graduating, Sam spent a year travelling overseas and then returned to manage a bar and restaurant in Leichhardt called Martini for two years. During this time he also helped a friend open a cafe in Surry Hills called Lilyum, where he worked as a barista. He applied for a casual porter's position at the Hilton Hotel Sydney in 2005 and held the position for six months. Sam then moved up into a role as the Bell Captain (which he did for 8 months) and then landed his current position as the hotel's Concierge.
