Women in Racing 1
The Australian Racing & Equine Academy is a strategic partnership between Racing NSW and TAFE NSW Western Sydney Institute.
The Academy is based at the TAFE NSW Western Sydney Institute Richmond College located in the picturesque Hawkesbury Valley on the north western fringe of Sydney. The Academy houses a state of the art indoor riding arena, a 600 metre sand track, a fully equipped farriery shop, stables and modern classroom facilities. A library specialising in equine and animal care, specialist veterinary care facilities and excellent computer laboratories make Richmond a terrific place at which to study.
The Academy also uses the facilities of the nearby Olympic venue of the Sydney International Equestrian Centre and various race course facilities throughout the state. Hawkesbury Race course is a stone’s throw away from the Academy, Apprentice schools are held regularly at Canterbury race course and a riding school for budding track riders is conducted weekly at Royal Randwick.
