Sydney TAFE Travel & Tourism World Record Attempt
On Thursday, 3 December 2015 students from Sydney TAFE Travel, Tourism and Events and the Yulang Aboriginal Educational Training Unit attempted to set a new Guinness World Record for the most people participating in an Australian Aboriginal inspired dance. This was part of Sydney TAFE’s commitment to providing as much practical experience as possible for our students.
This was a final project for the Advanced Diploma of travel and tourism students, assisted by Yulang, event students, a range of travel and tourism, guiding students with assistance also from other training areas including filming, photography and hospitality.
Although the record was not broken it was a great learning experience for students and Sydney TAFE are looking forward to attempting it again next year.
