AWEX Wool Auction House

Australian wool is among the best in the world, a reputation that has been earned through good work practices. Wool sold in Australia is regularly prepared by a registered woolclasser. The woolclasser is responsible for grading the wool, classifying it so it can be sold to buyers.

To be registered, a woolclasser must be qualified in woolclassing/wool preparation Cert. III or IV. These courses are run by TAFE colleges across the country.
