A Born Leader

Gavin Mallard grew up in Barrel Well, 600 kms north of Perth learning about his culture and tradition in the Ajana community.

He decided to aim for his AFL dream and moved to Perth where he's just completed a Certificate in Sport and Recreation. His host employer Nyoongar Sports Association thinks Gavin is a born leader, working with communities in sports training and education.

At only 17, there's still time for him to reach his AFL dream.
