WorldSkills Australia Nationals – Brisbane 2010 – IT Software Applications

Rebecca Walsh is still in her first term at the Central Queensland University, however she will be representing her state in the WorldSkills National competition. Prior to attending CQU, Rebecca completed a Certificate 2 & 3 at Bundaberg TAFE.

While neither of Rebecca’s parents are in the IT industry, her brother shares her passion and skill for all things computers. She said she has been interested in pursuing a career in computers for quite some time, although hopefully the next few years at CQU will help her define exactly where her career may take her.

While Rebecca is nervous about competing against many other skilled people, she thinks winning and being able to represent Australia at the WorldSkills International competition in London 2011 would be an amazing experience.
