Regional Institute of Performing Arts (RIPA)

The Regional Institute of Performing Arts at Hunter TAFE is an innovative and energetic centre for performing arts training. Our focus is on imparting knowledge, skills and techniques that generate employment.

Students are trained in techniques that develop their acting, writing, directing and producing skills based on the methodologies of leading theorists and practitioners.

You will refine your natural talents to become highly skilled, creative and business-minded practitioners. The versatility of skills and depth of knowledge gained through our training means you are better positioned to reflect industry standards and respond to projects. This approach greatly increases your employment opportunities in the performing arts and non-arts related industries, such as health, youth, community and aged care sectors.

During your training at The Regional Institute of Performing Arts, you will be taught and supervised by highly qualified, experienced and award-winning teachers who will mentor you through a year of intensive and exhilarating creative development. You will automatically become a member of Clegg Artist Management (CAM) - your advisory and mentoring partner while you are training.
