GTA Stories: Michael Boyce

Michael recounts how apprenticeships can not only get young people on a career path but can improve them as citizens. Michael cites an example of a young man who not only excelled in his plumbing apprenticeship but also in his volunteer and civic work.

PEER VEET is both a Group Training Organisation and a Registered Training Organisation that offers apprenticeships and traineeships in the under-skilled construction industry. Operating out of Adelaide in South Australia, PEER VEET oversees the development of 450 apprentices and trainees.

Group Training Australia Limited (GTA) is the national association representing a network of around 150 Group Training Organisations (GTOs) located throughout Australia. Collectively the national network employs 35000 apprentices and trainees.
