Executive Chefs Club, Sydney 2014

On Tuesday February 25th, 2014 some of Sydney's top Executive Chefs attended a lively Authentic Ceylon-style High Tea Masterclass at the Sofitel Wentworth, Sydney.

SkillsOne interviewed some talented female chefs and pastry chefs, as well as Executive Chefs with women in their kitchens to talk about the opportunities for women in the hospitality industry, just in time for International Women's Day 2014.

Host Boris Cuzon, Executive Chef at Sofitel Sydney, in conjunction with the Ceylon Tea Board and Sri Lankan Airlines Catering focused on the dynamics of tea and matching it with real Sri Lankan cuisine.

Chefs and guests also sampled new season Australian Angus grain fed beef from the Riverina and Great Southern Australian Lamb, Huon Salmon and Birch & Waite's international sandwich ideas.

Among many talented Executive Chefs, Peter Howard (HTN Patron) and Longrain's Louis Tikaram (Sydney Morning Herald's Young Chef of the Year, 2013) took part in an engaging discussion of the classic vs. modern chef.
