TAFE SWSi ‘Flowers in Motion’ 2014

Being a leading provider of Vocational Education and Training, TAFE NSW – South Western Sydney Institute (TAFE SWSi) is proud to showcase the hard work of their students and dedicated staff.

‘Flowers in Motion’ is a moving display of student creativity and flair. The event incorporates student showcases from various industries including Floristry, Hairdressing, Beauty, Events, Hospitality and Photography. ‘Flowers in Motion’, going into it's 6th year, provides the opportunity for students to gain hands on industry experience. This year’s theme was “A Symphony of Flowers”, representing flowers, music and fashion inspired from various countries around the world.

The event was spread over two fabulous sessions, with more than 50 models parading an exciting array of over 10,000 flowers in elaborate floral couture.

The ‘Flowers in Motion’ exhibition included floral themes and displays designed by Certificate II and Certificate III students, an entertainment marquee and fashion parade of models wearing gorgeous floral couture created by the Certificate III, Certificate IV and Diploma Floristry students.

SWSi has specialist floristry facilities located within Padstow and Campbelltown Colleges.

Learn how to create dynamic floral arrangements for use in a retail floral environment for a variety of customers and learn new floristry skills and techniques, combined with extensive flower and plant knowledge and retail management skills.

SWSi has award winning students, who have achieved outstanding results in industry competitions such as; Flower Growers Group Scholarships; The Interflora Challenge Cup; The Royal Easter Show; and ABC Gardening Expo.
