Building & Construction at Wagga TAFE

Interested in a trade in Construction? SkillsOne visited the Wagga Wagga campus of Riverina Institute of TAFE. It's been awarded a two gold star rating in the ITSE Star Rating Scheme, which awards the best training facilities in Australia with recognition they deserve.

We have a look at the facilities available for students learning in the building and construction trades.

Head teacher Peter Klimpsch shares what's involved in building. He takes us on a tour through the carpentry and joinery sections, painting and decorating, scaffolding, the new plumbing building and the rigging area.

We chat to Jarrold McPherson, a builder, about the program and why he is involved in the course.
