Andrew Williams on the 2013 NSW Training Awards

The General Manager of the Australian Business Apprenticeships Centre, Andrew Williams, talks about the importance of supporting and developing the future generation with skills.

Winners from the NSW Training Awards have the opportunity to compete withother states and territories to be named the best in Australia at the Australian Training Awards.

Joining the six individual awards winners in Perth will be TAFE NSW - SouthWestern Sydney Institute (NSW Large Training Provider of the Year) and the Australian Racing and Equine Academy (NSW Industry Collaboration Award winner).

The winners of the Apprentice of the Year, Trainee of the Year, School Based Apprentice/Trainee of the Year, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year, Vocational Student of the Year and VET Trainer/Teacher of the Year will meet up next week for a professional development program to assist them in their journey to be the best in Australia.

This year, the Australian Training Awards will celebrate 20 years of training excellence at a national level.

The 2013 Australian Training Awards presentation dinner event will be held at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, Perth, Western Australia on Friday 22 November.
