This partnership's objectives were to:
- Support the industry in providing a flexible approach that allows the right people to be recruited, trained and retained by STC to meet identified employment skill shortages in the hospitality and events industry.
- Increase employability skills of job seekers through hands on training in a live environment and therefore increase confidence, self-esteem, development skills and successful job applications.
- Enhance employment opportunities for job seekers, assisting in meeting skill shortage needs, providing a pool of well trained staff for the employers and creating a culture of lateral thinking when training in hospitality, through collaboration with industry and training opportunities.
- Identify and up skill current staff across all locations of STC to benchmark skills and provide a standard of skills excellence by all employees in hospitality and events management with a focus on excellence in customer service.
