Adriano Zumbo’s Pastry Perfection
Eleven years ago, when Adriano was 15 years and 9 months old, he was so sick of school that he left and moved 680 km away to pursue a career in pastry making in Sydney! Eight months earlier he’d discovered his love for baking, when he started trying stuff at home.
Adriano did a 4 year apprenticeship while living at his sister’s place. The first place he worked was a pastry shop (patisserie) for 1.5 years, and the second place was a restaurant. He moved to Cairns for a while but found Sydney more buzzing and cosmopolitan, so returned here to open up his own pastry shop in Balmain.
His signature pastries are the passionfruit and lemon tart and his chocolate sacher!
