The Inaugural ACPET Awards for Excellence presented at the 2012 National Conference

The Australian Council for Private Education and Training (ACPET) 2012 National Conference took place at the Westin in Sydney on 30 and 31 August.

The theme for the conference, ‘The changing tertiary education sector’, challenged preconceived ideas, informed about new possibilities and inspired further innovation.

The ACPET national conference is the largest gathering of private and not-for-profit educators and trainers in Australia and provides a fantastic opportunity for networking and professional development.

ACPET is Australia’s peak industry association for independent providers of tertiary education and training, Representing 1,100 members that offer higher education, vocational education, English language and foundation courses to Australian and international students. Their mission is to enhance quality, choice, innovation and diversity in Australian education and training – this year’s conference definitely achieved that. An inspiring line up of international and national speakers – from marketing, government, business, industry, academia and regulation –challenged delegates to address the changing circumstances in various organisations.

The conference dinner included the inaugural ACPET Awards for Excellence – celebrating the best of the best in the private training sector.
