Hot Hair

We meet Nuran Akbal, the Acting Head Teacher of Hairdressing at Mt Druitt TAFE, and one of her students Jane, in one of the college’s hair salons. Together they chat about the course - which is offered as a four-year apprenticeship; walk us through the salon where we can see some of the students at work, who range from 16 to mature age; and demonstrate some of the processes involved in creating the hottest head of hair.

And yes they always work on real people!
