projectABLE Workshops Caring for Careers

ProjectABLE is a FREE initiative created by care careers (developed by National Disability Services and funded by the NSW Government) to address the increasing demand for skilled workers in the disability and community care sector.

ProjectABLE gives students the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in the disability and community care sector. The projectABLE half-day workshops involve expert trainers, staff, clients and hands-on exercises that help build skills and knowledge.

The sessions are an inspiring introduction to a career in the disability and community care sector, offering students increased disability awareness and the opportunity to learn about the variety of careers available. Once students have participated in a workshop, they are invited to sign up for FREE nationally accredited training where they can further their skills and knowledge in disability and community care.

ProjectABLE workshops are hosted by our affiliates: Cerebral Palsy Alliance, House With No Steps, Interaction Disability Services and Share Care. Hosting workshops and training onsite at service provider organisations offers students an authentic learning experience and a real-life glimpse into the disability and community care sector.
