WorldSkills Australia signs MOU with Rotary

On Tuesday the 25th of February, Mark Callaghan CEO of WorldSkills Australia (WSA) and Garry Browne, District Governor of Rotary International District 9675, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two organisations, reaffirming the ongoing and valuable partnership.

A renewed commitment to work together on a number of joint ventures including Rotary volunteers assisting at the WSA 2014 National Competition and channelling WSA competitors in to the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) program.

Both organisations have committed to further developing the 'Adopt a Skillaroo' program, pioneered by the Rotary Club of Wollongong for Illawarra based Fitter and Machinist Matthew McGlashan. Matthew would represent Australia at the 42nd WorldSkills International Competition in Germany in the Manufacturing Team Challenge.
