Maths in the Workplace.

A large number of high school students don't see the need to continue their maths studies, often believing they will never need it. The Maths in the Workplace is a program currently in place at Kingsgrove High School (Sydney) to increase students' interest and understanding of the importance of maths in the workplace.

This video is an introduction to the program. Careers Counsellor at Kingsgrove High School Gigi Awadalla, explains what the program is, why maths is so important in life and the fantastic outcomes already seen at Kingsgrove High School.

The video series is designed to make the program accessible to all students, parents and careers advisors, by bringing examples of how maths is used in various workplaces, including Hairdressing, Information Technology and Electrotechnology, to your screens.

The Maths in the Workplace program is brought to you by the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations and the NSW Department of Education & Communities in conjunction with Kingsgrove High School.
