Catching up with Benjamin Standen

At 23 Benjamin Standen is now a qualified chef and won the 2011 Tasmanian Apprentice of the Year Award. Subsequently he was a runner up for the 2011 Australian Apprentice of the Year and came in second place at the ceremony held in Brisbane.

Ben says he enjoyed the experience to be a part of the Australian Training Awards because he got the chance to meet many amazing individuals who are all very passionate about their trade and their community. Ben is currently studying French and hopes to win the Australian Overseas Foundation Scholarship and get the chance to go to France in 2014.
