Skills Minister Brendan O’Connor visits Group Training Australia @ Master Plumbers Training Centre

Group Training Australia (GTA) is urging both the Federal Government and the Coalition to support the group training network’s role in enabling thousands of Australians to acquire skills, and develop their careers through apprenticeships and traineeships.

GTA’s Election Statement 2013 was presented to the Minister for Employment, Skills and Training, Brendan O’Connor, during a visit to group training apprentices at the Master Plumbers Association of NSW in Auburn.  The policy was also provided to the Shadow Minister for Employment Participation, Sussan Ley.

GTA is calling on both the Federal Government and the Coalition to get behind group training and to recognise its unique contribution to skills development and career building. Across the community, group training will continue to build partnerships between schools and parents, employers and job seekers to fulfil people’s career prospects and meet the skills needs of industry.
