Wrapped up in wool

The wool shed has traditionally been a male dominated domain.

Yet in recent years, a shortage of skilled labour has lead to a burgeoning number of women working in the wool industry.

Eileen Philipson is one of the world's best wool-handlers.

Combining motherhood, management of her sheep farm, and wool handler training, she represents the modern country woman who is reinvigorating the proud tradition of women in the wool industry that was begun by Elizabeth Macarthur.

She represents a new era of rural women who are finally gaining the plaudits they have long deserved.
