Apprentice at the Royal Botanic Gardens

Peter is from the Hunter Valley and moved to Sydney to join the team at the Royal Botanical Gardens for an apprenticeship in horticulture.

Peter wants to specialise as an arborist after he finishes his apprenticeship. Peter has a real interest in plants and trees for use in primary industries, such as fruit growing trees, herbaceous plants, medicinal plants and just simply edible plants.

SkillsOne chats to Peter about what it's like doing an apprenticeship - and working in the expansive Royal Botanical Gardens!
