In Focus: Challenger TAFE, Fremantle
Challenger TAFE is unlike any other educational instition - it is a Maritime Training Centre, based in Western Australia, which delivers training in aquaculture, marine studies, marine operations and an array of courses associated with the sea.
We chat to several of the directors and lecturers, who take us through their training program, including Yachtmaster studies lecturer, Mick Paton.
The Centre consists of extensive training facilities including simulators, a fleet of eight vessels, engineering, seamanship and aquaculture workshops, biological and computing laboratories and the Aquaculture Development Unit where applied research is undertaken.
Watch as we profile their training vessels, simulator practice sessions and aquaculture centre.
