2008 Trade & Skills Teacher of the Year
The Institute for Trade Skills Excellence awarded the 2008 Trade & Skills Teacher of the Year at the National Training Awards in Darwin. Brian Heim was announced as the winner.
Lucy Nash chats to Brian Heim who shares what it's like being an Agricultural teacher in Australia and what it's like winning the Trade Teacher Award.
Brian has worked as a VET program manager and lecturer in pastoral and animal studies for five years. Prior to that he was the director of a veterinary nursing program in Texas for six years, after having spent six years in private practice.
In Texas he led the development and implementation of the largest and most successful distance learning program for vet nurses. He has maintained his registration as a veterinary surgeon.
