Forget plumber's crack and tool belts: landscapers are considered the sexist tradies around.
The green thumbs beat carpenters and bricklayers to the title of most attractive labourer in a new survey conducted by Handyman magazine.
The survey, published in the magazine's March edition, also found tradies working in decorating plumbing and painting had the least sex appeal.
Landscapers and owner of Mother Nature's Landscapes Jeremy Gargate said his young, good looking employees were often on the receiving end of wolf whistles while on the job.
"Truth be known, I've had clients organise luncheon parties around my workers (their shifts), he said.
Mr Gargate believed the sex appeal could come from the fact that people who loved the outdoors and had an active lifestyle were attracted to the profession.
Handyman magazine managing editor Natasha Dickins said she was surprised that plumbers (usually the highest earning tradesmen) didn't top the list but said the attraction to a tradie rarely had anything to do with their bank balance.
