Scott Whittaker started as a labourer at the Hanson Bass Point Quarry shovelling rock, now he is in the graduate management trainee program taking on more responsibility for the quarry operation.

Quarrying is a good career choice for people wanting stay close to big metropolitan areas. At big quarrying companies, it is possible to work your way from the basic skilled jobs to trainee management.
