WorldSkills Australia Nationals - Brisbane 2010 - Hairdressing
Pamela got into the Worldskills Competition through her local TAFE in Townsville. She also competed in the National competition 2 years ago but was unsuccessful.
This time around she has done a lot more training and is feeling much more prepared.
Pamela started hairdressing at school when she was 15 and has now been doing it for 9 years. She loves the creativity in the job and the possibility of travel.
Pamela enjoys the whole process of hairdressing – colouring and upstyling in particular, she loves the fact that it always changes.
One day Pamela hopes to join the fellowship of hairdressing and work overseas.
Her younger sister is an apprentice and mother been in the hairdressing business for 12 years (management rather than hands-on).
