Australia’s Largest Professional Cooking Competition for budding Chefs
HTN is proud to again coordinate the largest annual apprentice culinary competition series in Australia. This year, a total of thirteen (13) regional heats will be held throughout NSW, ACT and for the first time, in Melbourne, VIC. Some 300 plus apprentice chefs are expected to register to compete in the series, making this year, bigger, better and with some real surprises.
All Apprentice Chefs and Hospitality Trainees (must have a contract of training registered with the relevant state training authority) are invited to participate free of charge in a professionally coordinated and relaxed competition environment. The competition is the ideal platform for HTN to highlight commercial cookery as a career without limits and provides an opportunity for participants to engage in structured culinary skill development. The well publicised skills shortage in the commercial cookery sector highlights the need to promote the career of a professional chef and HTN actively pursues applicants to meet their demand average of 100 cooking apprenticeship vacancies listed all year round.
It also provides an opportunity for apprentices and trainees to network, form long lasting friendships with other like minded young people and to display their individual culinary talent. If you would like to know more about the competition series please visit www.htn.com.au
