Tasty Cheese Training
TAFE NSW – Illawarra Institute and Bega Cheese continue to have a strategic alliance to train and develop the company’s production workers. The partnership has been in operation for over 10 years, in which time hundreds of Bega Cheese employees have been trained. Literacy support for these employers is also provided by the Institute’s General Education section at the Bega Campus. The training that Bega Cheese employees receive has also allowed progression within the company, for those staff who had no previous training. Due to the size of this project, the Illawarra Institute has located a TAFE Training Coordinator on site at Bega Cheese to work with their Learning and Development Unit to ensure the successful outcome of this important training initiative.
