Tessuti Fabric

Who are Tessuti Fabrics?

Tessuti Fabrics, Chatswood, was established in 1992 by Colette Guanta and Greg Spirou. It has stores in Bondi Junction, CBD and Surry Hills.

Their quality and affordable European fabrics are purchased from celebrated local, interstate and international designers at the end of each season. Some of the designers and manufacturers they buy from include: Armani, Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Max Mara, Moschino, Prada, Miu Miu, Akira, Lisa Ho, Zimmermann, Karen Walker, Tigerlily, Simona, Wayne Cooper, Scanlan & Theodore, Nicola Waite, Josh Goot, Marc’s, AG and Cue. Tessuti Fabrics also stocks an exquisite range of bridal fabrics from the most delicate French laces and beaded laces to a huge range of silks (silk satin, jersey, tulle, dupion, georgette, organza, faille and duchess and many more). On top of providing beautiful fabrics and materials, Tessuti boasts the largest quality button range on the North Shore and Eastern suburbs.

The Bargain Shoppers Guide To Sydney has included Tessuti Fabrics in their magazine for the 6th year running and they have also been voted "Best Fabric Shop" by Sydney University of Technology fashion students.

About the talent behind the label...

Colette Guanta comes from three generations of dressmakers and manufacturers. Colette studied design at East Sydney before working with her mother, Silva Guanta, who to this date manufacturers beautiful garments for women who appreciate great quality fabrics and design. Colette then moved on to open Tessuti Fabrics at Chatswood on Mother's Day in 1992, where she sourced top quality designer fabrics, trims and buttons.
