WorldSkills Australia Nationals - Brisbane 2010 - Electrical Control
James is a 4th year Electrical Control student at Gladstone TAFE in QLD. He is also doing his apprenticeship at Gladstone Ports Corporation working as an Electrical Controller. Some of his day to day activities include maintenece, PLC, fault finding then repairing the faults.
James loves his job as it presents new challenges and different experiences every day, but says that by far the most satisfying part of the industry is when he solves a problem, or repairs a fault.
He hopes to travel overseas in the future to learn about different systems and components. His father, an electrical draftsman, exposed James to the industry from a young age and undoubtedly influenced his decision to persue a career in the electrical field.
