Feeding, Clothing and Housing the World - A look in to Careers in Agriculture
In the midst of all the rides and fairy floss, The Sydney Royal Easter Show brings to Sydney the dynamic industry that is Australian Agriculture. It is a wonderful opportunity for people of all ages to come and learn about the diverse range of careers that literally feed, clothe and house the world.
The Sydney Royal Easter show was established back in 1822 by the newly formed Agricultural Society of New South Wales, now the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW (RAS NSW), with the aim of encouraging the colony’s rural industries. This year at the Easter Show, the RAS Youth Group hosted the 2012 Careers in Agriculture Expo to showcase and raise awareness amongst young Australians to the exciting and diverse careers opportunity available or linked to agricultural industries.
SkillsOne met with many interesting personalities who are passionate about what they do and attend the Sydney Royal Easter Show to educate people of all ages about the industry and how they can be a part of it.
SkillsOne would like to thank RAS NSW, RAS Youth Group, AgriFood Skills Australia, National Farmers Federation, Australian Year of the Farmer and their Ambassador Glenn McGrath for their participation.
