We spoke to four electrical apprentices and one qualified electrician from Electro Group about what the job involves and why they love it so much.
Caitlin talks about what it is like to work in a male dominated industry and the reactions of her parents and friends when she decided to become an electrician. Dan talks about his decision to leave uni and his office job and start and apprenticeship.
What is an electrician?
An electrician maintains and repairs electrical appliances, components and machines within a variety of industrial, commercial and domestic contexts. They can specialise in Appliances, Machines, Maritime Maintenance and Switchgear.
