WorldSkills Australia Nationals - Brisbane 2010 - VETiS Construction
Andrew van Dartel is currently enrolled in a construction course as part of the VET in Schools program. For about 6 hours per week, instead of sitting in a classroom he is perfecting his skills in the building and construction field.
Although Andrew is developing an aptitude for building and construction, he hopes one day to get a career in either Civil or Aeronautical Engineering. He feels that the skills he is learning at school will one day help him in his future career.
Andrew won Gold in the regional WorldSkills competition for his handiwork building a wooden park bench.

Australian Turf Club - Mounted Security Division
The Australian Turf Club, introduced an Equine Mounted Security Division used to patrol race days and major events at Royal Randwick, Rosehill Gardens, Canterbury Park and Warwick Farm Racecourses. The ATC Mounted Division offer a number of training programs specialising in Mounted Security operations, whilst also hiring out their services externally.
