Missed out at uni? A TAFE course could get you on the right path
With the final round of university offers out on 9th February, Institute Director Susan Hartigan at TAFE NSW - Western Sydney Institute is urging students not to despair if they have not made it into their favoured university course.
“Studying a TAFE NSW course relevant to your field of interest before university may actually help you to achieve your study goals and your dream job sooner,” said Ms Hartigan.
“Some TAFE NSW subjects earn credit points towards a university qualification, helping to prepare you for university life and reduce the duration of your course,” Ms Hartigan said. “In many cases, students can finish a three-year university degree within just two years – and they have the benefit of finishing with two qualifications under their belt.
“Our courses also give you valuable practical experience which will make you a more competitive job applicant,” Ms Hartigan said.
Western Sydney Institute’s courses provide an experience beyond the classroom, with flexible delivery options and strong industry links.
Vacancies still exist in a number of TAFE NSW - Western Sydney Institute courses such as accounting, business management, graphic and interior design, hospitality management, events management, architectural technology and more. To view courses with vacancies, go to enrolwsi.com.au
