The National Harvest Information Service collects information from Farmers regarding their harvests, jobs available, and requirements for workers, which is then collated into a database and used by the information centre call centre. Anyone can call through to the information centre to find out about harvests and job opportunities, and the Information Service aims to match up workers with growers. According to Robert, the service receives around 5000 calls a week from people looking for work.
