Background
Darren is a strong believer in building skills and knowledge through training. His training has given him the skills to successfully manage a number of businesses and he believes training is the key to success in any industry. He commenced his training in retail while still at high school.

VET Qualification
Darren has a Certificate II in Retail and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. He also has a Diploma in Frontline Management, Retail Management, Business Marketing and Business Administration. He was runner-up in the South Australian Training Awards.

Where the qualification has taken him
He and his business partner started their first business Big Byte PCs and Fones, a computer and mobile phone retail store in a local shopping centre in 2004. They sold the store in early 2007 and commenced a new business, Big Byte Telco Solutions with a business-to-business sales force. Following the sale of that business, he opened Lead Seekers College, a Registered Training Organisation delivering training in customer and business services.
