The City of Sydney runs a program of placements for school aged children to work within the council, providing them with goals and inspiration to stay in school and look to developing a career when they leave. Here we focus on 18 year old Jesse Slade, who took on a placement as an apprentice heavy vehicle mechanic with City of Sydney, through the Aboriginal Employment Strategy, gaining skills and training on the job.
