WorldSkills Australia Nationals - Brisbane 2010 - VETiS Primary Industries
Ashley is from the Northern Territory, and has a passion for horses and working outdoors. She became interested in the opportunities in Agriculture through the VET in schools program, and was introduced to competing in Worldskills “an awesome experience”.
Ashley wants to gain more experience working on a cattle ranch in America where she intends to develop her skills before coming back to Australia to work on a station. Ashlee’s ambition is to own and run her own station.
Ashley is required to complete exercises both in teams and individually that involve soil testing, tree planting for wind breaks, tractor work and mechanical disciplines, fencing repairs and live stock handling.
