2. Australian Apprenticeships
The Australian Apprenticeships website it a useful resource for current and potential apprentices as well as their employers. It provides a range of useful information for anyone considering and /or taking on an apprentice or apprenticeship, information on awards and incentives, guidelines, contacts and much more.
3. Expert Panel – Apprenticeships for the 21st Century
The Expert Panel was put together in 2010 to provide advice on reform options for the Australian Apprenticeships system. For anyone within, or in any way linked to, the Apprenticeships system this is a great one to keep an eye on. The report was officially released in January 2011 and can be accessed through this site.

5. Australian Apprenticeships Access Program
The Australian Apprenticeships Access Program provides information for those experiencing difficulties obtaining skilled employment- with resources and information relating to pre-vocational training, support and assistance to obtain and maintain an Australian Apprenticeship.

The Australian Training Awards are the peak national awards for the vocational education and training (VET) sector, and provide a great benchmark for organisations and individuals to work towards. There are a number of categories and awards available, including Apprentice of the Year, and the site includes all the information you need to know, including selection criteria, how to apply, as well as containing interesting information and stories from past award winners and finalists, their career highlights and advice.

The VET Fee Help section of the DEEWR site is a useful resource providing information about the availability of financial help for those in or wishing to study in the vocational sector. It includes information about the scheme, a list of approved VET providers, the latest news regarding Fee Help programs, FAQs and links to other useful websites.

My Future is a very comprehensive resource for students, parents, and careers advisors, whether you’re looking to start out, offer advice, change your career path, and even if you have no idea what you want to do! My Future offers fact sheets and information on a vast variety of trades and career options, a search engine for training providers, advice for parents and career advisors supporting others in a decision, FAQ, related resources and much, much more. 3. National Occupational Licensing System
The National Occupational Licensing System website provides useful information on the National Licensing Scheme that is due to be implemented in July 2012. The purpose of national licensing is to remove overlapping and inconsistent regulation between states and territories for the licensing of a number of specific occupations. Here you’ll find information on the development of the system, why it’s being implemented, how it will affect you and transitional procedures and information.
