Tradeplus Card Launch
The Tradeplus Card is designed to give trades people access to discounts and services. An apprenticeship takes a long time to complete and at the beginning you don’t get paid much, just a little more than the dole. Therefore the people who choose to leave school early to take up apprenticeships can be disadvantaged educationally and financially. Tradeplus wants to support the people who make the choice to take up a trade. The scheme is set up to enhance the self esteem of and increase the purchasing power of trades people. With their skills and spending power qualified ‘tradies’ will have the most positive impact on our nation’s economy and future. As we know at SkillsOne, tradespeople are essential to the continuing development of Australian society and economy.
