Mechatronics is a combination of electrical, mechanical and information-technology skills.
Andrew Heath's career success came out of winning WorldSkills when he was doing his electrician's apprentice. Andrew is from Gordon TAFE's electro-technology department.
He shows us machines, based on production lines in factories, that take advantage of robotic technology to pick up and transfer parts for mechanical manufacturing at the WorldSkills 2008 National Competition.
