Cunderdin: Providing a Hands on Approach - Part 2
We look further into the exclusive Western Australian College of Agriculture at Cunderdin.
The college is a residential high-school and accepts students for normal class subjects, but provides extensive training and a head-start for students wishing to pursue employment in agriculture, animals and farming, as well as automotives, machinery, engineering, building and construction.
Students and trainees express their love of the fact that the environment is practical and hands-on, providing knowledge, experience and a strong work ethic which the 'normal' school classroom does not typically provide.
The number of awards and competitions students in which students have been successful, and the job opportunities and enriching trade career paths they have or will follow stands as evidence of the college's reputation for providing a rich and thorough education and motivation to pursue trades.
