The Vintage Jeweller

SARAH is three-year old business owned and run by jewellery designer Sarah Green.

When Sarah left school she studied nursing for a year, then she embarked on a career in catering. After 20 years of greasy hair and no nails, she felt the desire for a life-affirming change.

Her old long-standing love for vintage jewellery and glomesh became the inspiration behind her business which sees Sarah deconstruct and reassemble jewellery pieces from the 1930s through to the 1980s, to create vintage and retro concoctions with a contemporary spin that are truly one-off pieces.

Sarah creates and designs by hand each piece of jewellery, using her passion for quality and her stunning collection of materials for inspiration. Her approach is truly feminine, delicate and elegant, with stimulation coming from real women from the 30’s to the 80’s. From necklaces, to bracelets, to earrings, no two pieces are identical, with Sarah imprinting her signature technique on every one of her creations. The main jewellery ranges are the glo range and the vintage range; and Sarah also designs jeans, little-black-dresses and silk cami's.

Jewellery and Object Design is offered at TAFE, where they aim to provide a combination of conceptual design solutions, technical skills and personal growth through a multi-layered process. The imagination of the students is given full reign. As Sarah herself advocates, we should embrace the uniqueness, drive and passion within...
